Collins congratulates The Gardens School on latest ERO Report
Papakura MP Judith Collins is delighted by the news The Gardens School in the Papakura electorate is now subject to reviews every four to five years following the latest Education Review Office (ERO) report.
“There is demanding criteria for a school to be deemed at a sufficient standard to undergo reviews every four to five years,” Ms Collins says.
“This is fantastic news for The Gardens school and its students and shows the high level of education our students are receiving here in the Papakura electorate.”
The school and board also received a letter from the Minister of Education, Hon Hekia Parata congratulating them on the achievement.
“Late last year I was pleased to announce that the Gardens School was to be completely rebuilt in 2015 due to the severe water tightness issues it had,” Ms Collins says.
“I am thrilled by this marvellous ERO report achieved by the school and it’s governance team.
“I congratulate them on the wonderful learning results their students are achieving in reading, writing and maths despite the challenges of their physical environment,” Ms Collins says.
